Lark Chillout & Ulticut UPS - "Untitled 2"
11.04.06
Picked up this double CD pack a few months ago and it hasn't left the stereo in the ride. This is a great fuckin' mix CD! Classic hip-hop cuts, rare funk and soul party rockers (that you've never heard before), and some fresh blends and remixes keep this heater in the number 1 & 2 spot in the CD changer. I gotta say, the Ulticut UPS side kills it....I haven't come across anyone yet who doesn't want a copy. And for all you suckers workin' for the man, this CD can be played at work without any repercussions or judgement due to excessive profanity. Just turn it up, sit back and expect all your co-workers to be like "What CD is this?", "Can you burn me a copy?" Tell 'em to go to
Flat Rock Records and get it themselves.

DJ Hubbz - "Juiced III"
10.23.06
OK, I've DJ'd alongside this guy for awhile now and he always brings the heat. Before anyone really knew him, he'd drop off the random mix cd's to me, and I swear, I played them until they were either too scratched to play without skipping or were stolen soon after by friends. Once I listened to Juiced 3, I quickly dropped it into itunes so I'd have a back up copy, 'cause I knew it would go missing from my CD player as soon as my friends heard it. It has a little something for everyone, from classic breaks to underground bangers, grimey Diplo cuts to DJ Hubbz remix exclusives, finishing it off with some faster breaks to get the party hype. Drop this CD in your player an hour before you plan on going out and by the time it ends your ready to go hit th town. It's like a six pack of your favorite beer, it starts off smooth, picks up a bit by beer 3, and by beer 6 you're wishing you had bought a case. Grab yourself a copy at Beat Street Records.

EPMD - "Business Never Personal"
10.23.06
This album has too many hits to list. One of their most solid releases to date, next to Strictly Business. If you were too young to have heard it when it came out, or if you just slept because you were too busy listening to Pearl Jam at the time, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy and slap it in. Before you know it, you'll be "comin' straight from the boon dox..."
